On June 27, “Fashion Week Inside Look” was on the scene of
“Summer Fashion Explosion 2015”at Hotel Pennsylvania in NYC. This spectacular fashion show was presented
by Fashion Frenzy atlcom. The hostess of
the night was Bianca Golden, a former contestant model from the TV show, “Next
Top Model” (NTM). A wide range of designs were showcased from metropolitan to
couture.
It was a great experience watching the following eleven designers showcased their designs; K. Dupont – NY, Michi Knitwear – NY, Elizabeth Fashions – Chicago,
BornAgainVintage – NY, Ola Raphael – Washington DC, Kwabs Couture – NY/NJ, Aqua
Mele – St. Croix, Original Stush – NY, Chila For Fun – New York, Caribbean H2O – Virgin Islands,
and Fashion Frenzy – New York.
In the audience we saw Sophia Davis, Chief Editor of Fashion Avenue News, and had to take the opportunity to sit next to this Fashion Queen
in VIP.
Several designers had vendor tables to sell and display some of their products. Hats off to these entrepreneurs!
Elizabeth Fashions’ designs were a contemporary classy look
with an elegant essence. The fabrics of
satin and lace with a touch of leather in the designs symbolized the strength
and femininity in a woman. Here are a few captured pieces.
Michi’s couture hand-knitted designs were vibrant in color
and showed it was made for every woman.
The unique styles fit the models in every way, possible.
The audience was captivated by each unique piece, and in awe that it was all done by hand.
Checkout some of these master pieces!
K. Dupont’s graphic designs were simple but elegant. The tops, bathing suit, and dresses were
sleek and sexy. The models wore them
well, but you judge for yourself!
H2O’s designs had all the ladies in the audience blushing
and wishing they were on the stage with the male models wearing the swimwear
pieces. Each model represented a
different Caribbean country, also the U.S.
They walked out proudly on the runway with their flag, which was on the
swim trunks, also. The swimwear varied
in cut, from a thong to a brief. Let’s
see what all the fuss is about!
Chila for Fun, although based in NY, represented his native
heritage of South America with bright, sexy, and unique designs. The women swimwear line was influenced by
Reggae, Bob Marley, and Native Indians. Each piece was crocheted with fringes and sequins. Colorful knit hooded vests for men, along with knit scarves and hats. Check them out!
Ola’s designs rocked the runway with urban to evening wear
styles for men. If you are a metro-style man, this is for you. The urban wear was flashy in a masculine
manner. The dress shirts, jackets, and
pants are perfect for any occasion, from a first date to a red carpet
event. If you don’t believe us, see for
yourself!
Fashion Frenzy atlcom started the second half of the Fashion
Show with their summer line for women. If
you are looking for stylish shorts, sundresses, or nightlife-wear for the
summer, these designs are for you. Our
favorite was the pant rompers! They can be worn for day wear into nightlife. All we can say each piece was sexy chic! We captured a few items for you!
Kwabs Couture had everyone thinking why couture, cause they
were cotton tops with graphics on them.
But when we looked a little closer, those were intricate
hand-embroidered designs with small rhinestones, delicately set within the
designs. This was art work on a garment.
The designs appeared to be Asian/African inspired, and each piece had a
unique design. Check them out, cause
this is couture art!
Aqua Mele by Andre Atene showcased his men and women designs on the runway. This
designer used newspaper print theme, along with mesh for a peek-a-boo
look. These bathing suits and cover-up were
so appealing to the eye, and everyone was looking!
Born Again Vintage used scrap fabric and other clothing to create Russian
inspired look. The dresses were bold in
color prints. The blend of quilt and
knit pieces were integrated to make unique pieces. Check them out!
Original Stush showcased two lines on the runway, with earthy
theme men and women wear, and high fashion couture women wear. The tie-dye with different shades of brown in
a cotton ready wear designs had a prehistoric type feel, which caught everyone off
guard due to the uniqueness of the line.
The couture line exemplifies sexy, elegant, and classy. Those designs amazed everyone in the
audience! On the final walk the models
walked out holding the designer’s perfume.
This designer showcased more than his designs!
